Game Overview

John Rocket is a space flight game in which you dodge obstacles while trying to reach the highest altitude, each time your health depletes you can select an upgrade which will cost more money as the game loop progresses, eventually you will reach the top of the atmosphere and complete the level unlocking the next planet/moon.

You are john. You mistakenly told your partner that you would go to the moon and back for them, She told you… prove it. You, alone, need to fly rockets to earn money to upgrade your rocket until you can reach the moon! And maybe mars if you play long enough, and neptune if you dont go outside. Start with your slow rocket and no money, to earn some pennies, then you get upgrades and greatness.

You must fly rockets to the sky, the further up you make it the more money you earn, with money you unlock upgrades, like speed, health, etc. With these upgrades you get higher until you reach the moon!

How to play

Start on earth, press space or r to launch. Fly up and dodge the clouds to reach higher altitude, the higher you go the more money you earn. You get one upgrade each time you lose all your health, if you run out of money and cannot upgrade before you reach the top of the planet you fail the game.

Earth and the moon are currently the only accessible areas. The moon cannot be completed as of yet.

Problems:

The game is supposed to be a loop but for some reason, when built, the game does not loop.

In web a lot of the game breaks, so i have also included a windows build.
